With 15 years of academic and research experience, Dr. Poo is a dedicated data professional with deep expertise in Data Engineering, Big Data Analytics, and scalable data systems. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Nagoya Institute of Technology (Japan), as well as a Master of Information Technology and a Bachelor of Science from UKM. Currently serving as Section Lead for Data & Analytics (Data Engineering) at Roche, Dr. Poo leverages his strong foundation in research and real-world experience to architect and implement robust data pipelines, optimize data platforms, and enable advanced analytics and AI at scale. His work bridges the gap between data infrastructure and insights, empowering data-driven decision-making across the organization. Besides that, KH founded two communities in Malaysia: Malaysia R User Group and TensorFlow & Deep Learning Malaysia User Group.
